This learning activity will help you to:
- To reflect on the importance you and your team attribute to different values and competencies needed for inclusive learning environments.
- To define priorities to promote your personal and collaborative professional development towards inclusive practices.
Time investment: 1 hour and 30 minutes
People involved: school team, learning community, and/or individual educational professionals.
Instruction
- Read the introduction and instructions of the self-reflective tool.
- Score the importance of each item for your daily practice.
- Calculate the score and percentage of importance of each of the 4 core areas of values and competences as explained below. The percentage indicates how important each area is to you and your team. The total percentage gives you a general overview.
4. Share your scores in the different areas as well as your total of the values and competences with your team members. Discuss as a team how important you find certain values and competences, as well as the whole of these.
5. Discuss which areas should be seen as priorities for your collaborative professional development. Use this to define some learning targets and a concrete action plan which you can use in your next professional development plan.
